DEVA GOUSS:

Deva Gouss is a Clinical Social Worker and therapist who views therapy as ‘a powerful commitment to one’s own healing and personal evolution’. She says that ideally clients should be highly motivated and ready to implement positive changes in their life no matter what current circumstances they’re facing. These problems include grief, sexual identity issues, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and life transitions among others. Ms. Gouss views her role as a therapist as an active listener who’ll provide feedback and demonstrate alternate coping skills.

Ms. Gouss strives to create an environment that allows her clients to be ‘courageously honest’ with themselves as they free themselves from outmoded beliefs and defenses and reconnect with their ‘inner strengths’. This process is the first step to a happier, more fulfilling life and deeper, more satisfying relationships. Ms. Gouss is a graduate of Tulane University and practices in Atlanta, Georgia.

ROBERT W. PATTERSON:

Robert W. Patterson is a marriage and family therapist that understands the complexity of romantic relationships. These relationships can be the most powerful and rewarding components of the human experience but have the potential to be the most frustrating and draining. Mr. Patterson utilizes a treatment methodology derived from Dr. Harvell Hendrix. As a Certified Imago Therapist and Workshop Presenter, Mr. Patterson helps couples revive “the safety, compassion and energy that brought them together in the first place.”

Mr. Patterson has a special focus on the needs of men in a relationship. In a cultural context, men aren’t taught to value trusting, bonded relationships to the same degree as women. This belief, Mr. Patterson feels, is a mistake. Mr. Patterson also presents workshops entitled “Getting The Love You Want” in conjunction with his marriage partner of more than two decades, Wendy Palmer Patterson. Mr. Patterson is a graduate of Georgia State University and practices in Atlanta, Georga.
